Abhishek Bachchan and Navya Naveli Nanda share glimpses of Holika Dahan at the Bachchan household; see pics

For the unversed, apart from throwing colors on each other, Holi celebrations also include the ‘Dahan’ which is held a day prior to the festival of colors, as it signifies the victory of good over evil. Many celebrities often attend this bonfire which is hosted in societies and even on the streets of the country as a tradition. The Bachchans hosted a private Holika Dahan celebration at their residence where the bonfire was held in their lawn. Abhishek Bachchan, Navya Naveli Nanda, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan among others were a part of it.

Navya Naveli Nanda took to social media to share photos from the Holika Dahan where they also apply colors to each other as a part of the festivities. Sharing photos of the bonfire as well as a few candid moments wherein she is applying color to her uncle Abhishek Bachchan, one where her beloved ‘mamu’ is seen inspecting the bonfire, among others. Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar dropped a heart showcasing her love for these pictures, whereas actor-dancer Naved Jafri also extended his Holi wishes to the family.

Apart from Navya, Abhishek too shared photos from the Dahan, which included a slow motion clip of the fire. “May the Holika burn all evil away. Happy Holi!” Many fans took to the platform to wish the Bachchan family on this special occasion.
