Actor Priyanka Chopra recently gave fans a glimpse into her Diwali celebrations in the US, sharing a heartwarming photo of her daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas. The picture, posted on her Instagram stories today on Monday, showed Malti enjoying her own Diwali party at home.
In the photo, Malti was seen wearing a yellow top and skirt, with her hair styled in pigtails. She stood with her back to the camera, holding a toy in one hand and appearing focused on something in front of her. A small tattoo was also visible on her arm, adding a cute touch to her festive look.
Several children, dressed in traditional ethnic outfits, stood near Malti. The room was beautifully decorated with flower garlands, creating a festive atmosphere. A person, likely Priyanka herself, was seen standing nearby in a white outfit. Sharing the moment, Priyanka captioned the image, "Malti's Diwali party was lit..." along with fire and diya emojis.
Leading up to Diwali, Priyanka travelled to multiple cities around the world for various events. After attending a Diwali party in New York, she flew to Delhi to celebrate the birthday of her close friend Tamanna Dutt. She then travelled to London for another Diwali gathering before returning to the US to continue the festivities with her family.
Priyanka Chopra's Family and Career
Priyanka Chopra married American singer Nick Jonas in 2018. The couple had both a traditional Christian ceremony and a Hindu wedding in Rajasthan. They welcomed their daughter Malti Marie via surrogacy in January 2022.
On the professional front, Priyanka was last seen in the action thriller Heads of State, co-starring Idris Elba and John Cena. She will next appear in the second season of the web series Citadel. Priyanka is also set to star in The Bluff, where she plays a 19th-century Caribbean pirate. In addition, she has signed on for director SS Rajamouli’s upcoming film, tentatively titled GlobeTrotter, alongside actor Mahesh Babu.
