Karan Johar reviews Jawan; calls Shah Rukh Khan an 'emperor': "We bow down in admiration"

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is currently obliterating the box office with Jawan which has entered the Rs. 600 crore club worldwide at the box office. In India, it has garnered Rs. 345.60 crore in just seven days of its release. The film, helmed by Atlee Kumar, stars Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara along with a special appearance from Deepika Padukone. Now, Karan Johar can't stop raving about the movie.

Karan Johar on Thursday took to Instagram to rave about Jawan. Sharing a poster of the film, he wrote, "OMFG!!!!! I am late to this party!!!! But what a party this is!!!! @atlee47 hits it out of the stadium… it’s the kind of adrenalin rush film with big emotion that Indian cinema embodies and this film perfects!!!! Was blown away by the cinematic audacity of each frame!!!! How good was everyone !!!"

He added, "@sanyamalhotra_ @pillumani so so good! The entire ensemble! The gorgeous and fabulous @nayanthara @actorvijaysethupathi is so brilliant! Was mesmerised by @deepikapadukone she bought so much gravitas to her part and owned it like a bonafide veteran!!!!"

He continued, "What do I say about Bhai @iamsrk … he is not just an irreplaceable force of nature but represents mega-stardom in a way that only he can!!!!! The movie also stars Sunil Grover, Ridhi Dogra, Sanya Malhotra, Mukesh Chhabra, Girija Oak Godbole, Aaliyah Qureishi, Ashlesha Thakur, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, and Lehar Khan.

Jawan is a Red Chillies Entertainment presentation directed by Atlee, produced by Gauri Khan, and co-produced by Gaurav Verma—the film released on September 7, 2023, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages.
